Come and kick off Overload 2013 early this year!
Two nights before the con, we invite you to join us for the New Zealand Premiere of Last Exile: Fam the Silver Wing! There will be drinks, anime and Range Murata! – who could possibly resist?
Any fans interested in nabbing a seat to this exclusive event, please RSVP from 12th of August via email to [email protected] with your name and contact details to secure a spot. One seat per person, first in first served 🙂
Here’s and overview of what the evening will entail:
For one night only we will be screening the first two episodes of GONZO’s widely appreciated sequel to Last Exile, after which there will be a Q&A session with concept artist Range Murata!
A big thank you to MadmanAU for teaming up with Overload this year to bring you this fantastic event. Thanks also to The Media Design School for lending us their cinema, without which this screening would not be possible.
Arboraceous is a 4 minute short film by New Zealand student Natasha Bishop. Aged only 16, Bishop entered The Outlook for Someday sustainability film challenge and created a compelling animation that encourages us to look after the only planet we have and to renew what resources are available to us.
Bishop’s animation has already won an array of awards, including the Department of Conservation Big Picture Award and The Body Shop Standout Winner 2012 from Outlook for Someday and has since gone on to claim the Best Animation and Best Newcomer award at the world’s third largest wildlife film festival in Japan (JWFF).
Ms Bishop will be presenting her film at Overload. Don’t miss this chance to support young kiwi talent!
