Fun art activities for all ages!

Take a stroll over to the Overload Arts & Crafts Area in Ariki Hall 1 and enjoy some hands-on creativity and fun! It’s the perfect place to unwind, make something by hand, and take home a memento to keep. 

There’s plenty for everyone — from folding origami to carving your own linocut stamp. Our friendly volunteers will be nearby all weekend to guide you through the activities.

ARTS & CRAFT ACTIVITIES

  • Origami: Learn the art of folding paper into beautiful designs step-by-step under the helpful hands of our instructors.
  • Calligraphy: Experience traditional Japanese brush techniques and write your name in Japanese.
  • Stamp Rally: Embark on an adventure to find hidden stamps and redeem a surprise freebie!
  • Linocut: Try your hand at carving and printing your own stamp — a fun, hands-on introduction to relief printmaking. 
  • Crochet: Pick up the basics of crochet and create your own little handmade keepsake.
